"There Is Nothing So Certain As Change"

After decades of enjoying meteoric growth, clubs today must deal with a variety of internal and external pressures that challenge their ability to maintain services and enjoy financial security. Membership growth, market positioning and maintaining relevance to your members and your market have evolved from an event to an ongoing necessity. The techniques for creating significance and membership marketing are also evolving requiring new tools and strategies to keep pace with change.

Club Mark offers a variety of seminars, workshops published white papers and articles and tools which allow club professionals to stay on top of new concepts in club operations and marketing.

As Executive Director of the Professional Club Marketing Association, he not only participates in developing the educational programming for each years Annual conference and continuing education programs, he provides the programming for certification of PCMA members.

While each workshop or educational venue has been somewhat form fit to meet the criteria of the association or audience being addressed, there are a number of standard programs, updated annually that can become the basis for your next educational meeting.

The length of the program can be adjusted to meet your specific needs but will range from a sixty-minute program to an all day (CMI) workshop. As an alternative, in many instances a program can be developed by CMC that will also include other speakers, but on the same general topic areas. For example, in the past several years, we have created programs with Tarun Kapoor, Dr. Candice Clemenz, Virginia Tech, Gregg Patterson, and Kathy O'Neal, the Senior Vice President of ClubCorp. We have also orchestrated several state meetings and incorporated local panels and multiple speakers to create a full day of diverse educational programming.

In addition, CMC can coordinate with Professional Club Marketing Association on several educational venues with CMAA Chapters.

In addition, Rick is an accredited speaker with the CMAA which makes their presentations eligible for continuing educational credits for most of the allied associations.

Process

Prior to an engagement, we will discuss any issues with staff that you might have so that we can arrange our programs to fit your specific needs. Our staff will then arrange two dates approximately 30 days apart to set up your training program. We meet separately with Department Heads for one meeting and Line Staff for another meeting. Each meeting is approximately ninety minutes and the number of employees should not exceed 14 in any one class setting. The first meeting is to create awareness and to create various exercises to practice. The second series is to review and determine areas that continue to be problematic either for the employee or the Club.
